There have been a lot of cries for reissues, especially with the ease of access to brands that social media brought on, but debatably the loudest and steadiest have been for the original DC Lynx.
Sported heavily by certain east coast legends during what many consider the “Golden Era”, the Lynx remains one of the most recognizable skate shoes ever made. Closely associated with Philly, it’s not surprising the Sabotage crew have been known to find and skate old pairs. A slimmed down reissue and a sequel both favoring a more modern silhouette were released a few years back, creating an even larger upheaval of general disapproval in favor of the classic construction.
Today, DC announced that the OG Lynx will be rereleased on March 25. As far as we know, the construction and materials are as close as possible to the original. 3 colorways were shown, all dating back to the Lynx’ original run.
We’ll keep you posted as we learn more. In the meantime, let’s all appreciate the fact that soon we’ll be able to see Wenning and Kalis skate these again.
