It’s hard to find anything to criticize when it comes to the GX1000 crew – rippers through and through, with a healthy disregard for speed wobbles, public walls and vanilla clips.
CONS seems to feel the same way, gifting the GX contributions to skateboarding their own murdered out Jack Purcell colorway. The revamped JP model is a surefire winner, appearing mild-mannered on the outside while the inner workings sport the latest in cushioning and durability technology. The leather upper is complimented by a Zoom Air bag in the heel, an ortholite insole and, of course, the added indestructability that comes with raised sidewalls and the rubber toe.
That’s a hell of a shoe for $85. 2018 is off to a great start.
