Despite having both attained an enviable level of general skate consumer appreciation over the last couple years, The Killing Floor and State Footwear had all critical eyes on them as they released their first collab models.
As expected, TKF and State really took advantage of a collab opportunity (you know how much we like that around here) by tastefully putting their mark on each others’ products – two colorways of the State Salem model and an extremely limited collab board.
What you may have noted, first off, is the Salem received an upgrade in the form of a rubber ollie patch. This classic piece of functional aesthetic has been utilized countless times over the years, but damn – it looks undeniably proper on the Salem. Second, black sidewalls are coming back in a big way, but we couldn’t help but notice the ying/yang idea behind these colorways.
50 “Free and Liberated” boards were also made to commemorate the collaboration, not beating around the bush as far as social commentary goes. Good luck coming up on one of these, but you can still snag the tee.
