Gilbert Crockett Keeps It Simple For The Debut Of His Second Vans Pro Model

Coming off of the success of his first pro model, Gilbert Crockett returns to bat with his second pro shoe for Vans.

Building off of their iconic imagery, the Gilbert Crockett 2 returns with the almost mandatory side stripe while sporting a distinguished toe. While no rubber toe is to be found, Vans’ Duracap technology is sprinkled throughout the upper in classic fashion for all your durability needs.

The Gilbert 2 comes equipped with all your favorite Vans staples: an UltraCush insole, molded heel inserts, a Duracap toe and some Wafflecup tooling that you know and love from skating Kyle Walker’s pro model. Similarly, this is basically a tank of a shoe camouflaged in a low profile Vans model.

The Gilbert 2 comes out initially with two advertised colorways, the classic black/white staple and a tasteful army/black/gum, with more to come down the line.

As of Feb. 11, they can be yours at local skate shop or online at Vans.com

Those green ones look exactly like those new Emerica’s The Centry…of course Vans are gonna wipe the floor with Emerica cause dey got the deep pockets….i know it sounds like a broken record, but were basically looking at a future with 3 brands, Nike, Adidas and Vans, UNLESS, this whole 90’S nostalgia trip brings back all those old styles, its a bit hard to make shoes for pro’s who;ve left, like say, eS reissued the K2 or The Muska’s, that would be sick, but those guys are long gone…Like what DC has done with the Kalis is really cool, and i guess Emerica is about to do it with The new Reynolds shoes..tryin to think who is a pro from back then with a sick shoe that could be reissued that STILL skates for the brand, not many…..Man, reissue those first Tempeltons, they were sick, ahhhhhh, geezus, get Ronnie Crieger back on eS and get his ones back….

The V.1 Crocketts skate pretty nice, but I preferred the Kyle Walker. if these have a bit more influence from the Kyle Walker model, I’ll definitely get a pair.
