While there are still few details available, it looks like we’ll be seeing a new footwear brand debuting in 2017. Former Nike SB PLM [Product Line Manager], Shawn Baravetto, mentioned in his interview earlier in 2016 that he was going to launch a skate shoe program and it looks to be coming to fruition.
The name of his upstart is called “Proper Skateboarding” and for a brand still in its infancy, it’s already assembled a team of up-and-coming rippers. The likes of Bryan Whalen, Beatrice Domond, Nate Guest, and Cam Barret are some of the notable skaters who have joined Baravetto in his new endeavor. So far, all of Proper’s offerings come in a cupsole construction. No names have been revealed of the shoes themselves, but they’re all backed with a trusty suede upper.
With only 3 cupsole models to start, Baravetto and crew look to be off to a great start. We’ll be anticipating more from this skater-owned and operated company in 2017 and keep you up to date with the latest news.
