Consisting of 2 models and a slew of shirts, DC’s ’94 Collection really takes us back.
The slightly revamped Syntax and Rival models provide not only a nostalgic reminder of how important DC was to the skate shoe renaissance of the mid-late ’90s, but really had us recalling how unbelievably prolific the Syntax was. DC ran the Syntax for years to come, and it helped as much as any other model in solidifying DC as a force to be reckoned with.
DC’s legacy is as close to unfuckwithable as any shoe company, with maybe a higher percentage of solid models than any other – certainly more legendary ones. The Kalis 1, the Lynx, the Mike Carroll Cozmo, the Rick Howard 1… DC’s missed the mark very little over their run of tech shoe leadership. Their continuing commitment has resulted in the Evan Smith S, Kalis Lite, New Jack and the Wes Kremer run over the last few years, and we back all of them hard.
The 1994 Collection is available at dcshoes.com, as much for those who fondly recall the era as those who weren’t born yet. You’re never too old or too young to appreciate a solid shoe.
