Lakai’s Echelon series of shoes speaks volumes. As you might’ve expected, it’s a project that’s branched off onto another playing field. If you’ve noticed, we’ve been subtly mentioning & wondering, who’s going to be taking over the “Grown & Mature” look that lies within skateboarding footwear? Gravis once held that position with an iron fist but after an unfortunate disbanding from the US market, there is no brand to fill their void or leftover demand. With that, we introduce to you Lakai’s Echelon series of shoes.
Call it what you want; lifestyle, chiller, ‘off the board’ shoes, etc. Just ultimately know, they’re not for skating. With most of the models featuring a full canvas upper, you shouldn’t expect to skate theses shoes & give a tasteless judgement on how they don’t last. Rather, these are the shoes that you’ll wear if you’re trying to:
- Get some Ass
- Meet your future Mother/Father-in Law & not look like a scumbag skater….or
- Just look good as all hell in an attempt to get some ass.
If we ever did do a review of the Echelon shoes, it’d probably be in the context of trying to get some & we don’t mean that in the Phelper way.
Expect all of these models to drop around Feb of 2014.
All of which should be reasonably priced around $65-68.
